Swan is a shōjo manga by Kyoko Ariyoshi. The story was serialized in the shōjo magazine Margaret in Japan during the seventies. It spans 21 volumes, but in North America, it was abandoned after 15 volumes due to the closure of the imprint. Swan follows the journey of Masumi, a young girl aspiring to become a ballerina. The manga had over 20 million copies in circulation by 2011.
